서울시는 9월 1일부터 3일까지 영등포구·마포구·용산구와 합동으로 여의도 인근 관광호텔에 대한 현장점검을 실시한다고 26일 밝혔다. 점검은 서울시가 총괄하고 3개 자치구 관광부서가 관내 호텔에 대한 세부 점검계획을 세워 추진한다. 공중위생 관련 행정처분 권한을 가진 자치구 위생부도 함께 참여한다.이번 점검의 핵심은 지난달 14일 시행된 개정 ‘공중위생관리법 시행규칙’의 준수 여부다. 개정 전에는 숙박업자가 접객대에만 요금표를 게시하면 됐지만, 개정 후에는 온라인 인터페이스를 숙박업에 활용할 경우 접객대뿐 아니라 온라인에도 숙박요금을 게시해야 한다. 요금 게시 의무를 위반하면 기존에는 1차 위반 시 경고나 개선명령에 그쳤지만, 이제는 1차 위반부터 영업정지 5일 처분이 내려진다. 2차 위반과 3차 위반 때는 각각 영업정지 10일과 20일이 부과되며 4회 이상 위반하면 영업장 폐쇄명령이 가능하다. 서울시는 현장점검과 별도로 9월 1일부터 4일까지 주요 온라인여행사(OTA) 사이트에 게시된 9월 5일 숙박요금을 모니터링한다. 모니터링 결과 직전 주말보다 과도한 요금 인상이 확인되면 호텔업협회 등에 자정 노력을 촉구하고, 필요할 시 해당 자치구를 통해 추가 점검을 실시할 것이라고 부연했다.시는 현장점검에 앞서 지난 8월 18일과 25일 유관기관과 주요 OTA 측에 숙박요금 게시 의무를 준수할 것과 일방적인 예약 취소를 자제하도록 요청하는 협조 공문을 발송했다. 조성호 서울시 관광체육국장은 “서울세계불꽃축제는 매년 수많은 국내외 관광객이 찾는 서울의 대표적인 축제인 만큼 일부 숙박업소의 불공정행위로 축제의 의미와 서울의 관광 이미지가 훼손되어서는 안 된다”며 “철저한 현장 점검을 통해 관광객들이 안심하고 즐길 수 있는 건전한 숙박 환경을 조성하겠다”고 말했다.。    New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) A Special Court in Delhi adjourned till Thursday the hearing on the money laundering case against Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain and others.

Special Judge Vikash Dhull after hearing part arguments on the bail application on behalf of Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain said, "Put up tomorrow for hearing remaining arguments. Superintendent, Tihar Jail is directed to produce accused Satyendar Jain, Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain through video conferencing tomorrow. "

Counsel for Jain has submitted that the petition challenging the transfer order the case from one Special Court to another Court passed by Ld. Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (PC Act) pending before Supreme Court of India has been withdrawn.

The Principal District & Sessions Court of Rouse Avenue, New Delhi on September 22 transferred the matter registered under the provisions of Prevention Money Laundering Act against Satyendar Jain from the Court of Special Judge Geetanjali Goel to Special Judge Vikash Dhull. Jain challenged the order of transfer in High Court and Apex Court and later on withdraw the same from Apex Court.

Government Counsel for ED opposed the bail application by submitting that Jain served as a Health Minister in Delhi may managed to get forged documents and can influence the doctors and Jail official.

Counsel for Jain opposed the application of ED by submitting that this is a malafide application to derail the trial and to prolong the custody of Jain. He contended that Jain is neither a Health Minister nor Jail Minister but is in jail and because the hospital where Jain was admitted under the control of Delhi Government is no ground to alleged bias in the case.

In this matter, ED has earlier opposed the bail application of Satyendar Jain by submitting that if the bail is granted, he may influence the co-accused, witnesses and other documents related to the case.

Investigating Agency has arrested Satyendar Jain in this Matter on May 30 under the provisions of PMLA and he is now in the judicial custody at Tihar.

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in its chargesheet alleged amassing assets to the tune of Rs 1.47 crore in Disproportionate Assets case while Enforcement Directorate has submitted the attachment of Rs 4.81 crore in connection with money laundering investigation.
